A significant number of file sharers in India use P2P networks to download and share film titles. According to the figures, nearly 78% of Indian P2P users share movie titles. But how many of these files are films produced by India’s own media and entertainment industry?

#7 – INDIANS LOVE MUSIC – BUT CAN THE SAME BE SAID OF FILE SHARERS IN INDIA?
Drawing in 4% of file sharers in India, music constitutes a very small subsection of content being downloaded and shared in P2P networks. Despite this small sample size, it’s still possible to draw some obvious conclusions about Indians’ music preferences. The first thing you notice is that not a single Indian artist made it into the top 5. Instead, the electro duo Major Lazer earned the crown by a healthy majority.

It’s also worth noting that three out of four Indian P2P users who shared one of the top 5 movies also shared the Hollywood blockbuster “xXx: Return of Xander Cage”.
